And now for something completely different

Le Vaillant Owen is a specialist consultancy that delivers planning consultancy services for developers, private clients and community groups (eg local residents'), particularly in Kent.

Valerie Owen is truly multi-disciplinary, being a Chartered Architect, Town Planner, Development Surveyor and Environmentalist and is an expert in sustainable development. A presumption in favour of sustainable development is at the heart of planning policy in England and Wales. She was previously a Non-Executive Director at the Planning Inspectorate and has experience in appeals. Valerie has an excellent track record in securing beneficial planning permissions for housing developments on land outside settlement boundaries and securing housing allocations in Land Allocation Local Plans for developer clients and private individuals.

Le Vaillant Owen has an excellent reputation in heritage work. Valerie was a retained architect to the Marquis of Tavistock and the Trustees of the Bedford Estate in London, between 1980 and 1989, working on many Grade I and Grade II Listed buildings. Until 2014, she held a Ministerial appointment to the Church Buildings Council, managing a significant portfolio of Listed churches of national significance, and she is wholly committed to restoring and improving historic buildings in a sympathetic manner, whilst helping to safeguard their long-term future. She has an excellent track record in securing beneficial Planning Permissions and delivering successful projects in heritage buildings and conservation areas in east Kent, including Oast houses; barns; mediaeval Halls and fine historic dwelling houses.
