And now for something completely different

Adams Hendry Consulting Ltd

Adams Hendry has delivered success for its clients for 30 years. We believe that our skills and experience can be applied to a wide variety of projects of every scale and complexity, whatever the land use or the specialty.

We are a leading, independent planning consultancy with a reputation for providing robust, impartial and creative advice to our clients on a wide range of strategy, planning and environmental issues. We are a hands-on consultancy, with senior staff actively involved in individual projects, and we pride ourselves on the high quality of the service we provide to clients.

With a focus on delivering planning and other consents, we have a particular expertise in Nationally Significant and other major infrastructure projects and are currently involved in some of the largest and most complex proposals in the UK. In addition to planning permission or Development Consent, many of them require specialist forms of consent or authorisations, for example, under the Transport and Works Act, the Harbours Act, and the Habitats Regulations.

Our experience covers most land uses and environmental issues, including commercial and residential, ports and harbours, wastewater and water resources, minerals and waste, renewable energy, roads and rail schemes. We offer advice and lead on the generation of proposals, reviewing options, stakeholder consultation and environmental impact assessment. We also provide clients with strategic advice to inform their investment decisions and business strategies.

Our highly qualified and committed team has a wealth of experience gained in both the public and private sectors. We have detailed knowledge of the planning and legislative processes at all levels of government and assist local planning authorities with the preparation of Local Plans and facilitate stakeholder involvement. We prepare and review EIAs. Senior members of staff are experienced expert witnesses at hearings, examinations, inquiries, CPOs and Lands Tribunals.
