Welcome to the Online Directory of Planning Consultants

Consultancy services continue to play an increasingly central role in planning and it is essential there is an authoritative source of information about the professional advice and expertise available. The Consultant’s Directory is the reliable, trustworthy and easy to use online service offering such information.

The Online Directory lists approximately 500 consultancies with skills as diverse as dealing with applications for heritage and listed buildings to everyday house extensions, conversions and change of use. RTPI registered consultants are all subject to the RTPI’s code of professional conduct.

The RTPI is the largest professional planning body in the world. Our members have the knowledge and experience to enable them provide expert help wherever and whatever the need.

This Directory is the first step in selecting a consultant. Its main facilities include:

• Alphabetical listings of all entries;

• Regional listings – identifying practices geographically within the United Kingdom and abroad;

• Specialist listings, showing practices by areas of expertise;

• A search facility for tailored searches, based on area, specialism and experience;

• A world-wide listing – grouping practices on a country by country basis within each continent;

• And advice on selecting and appointing a consultant.
