RPS is a UK leading planning consultancy with 111 chartered planning professionals and more than 600 other planning and development staff working in support disciplines. Many of the professionals are recognised in their fields as leading expert witnesses appearing regularly at inquiries and tribunals considering development proposals in the residential, retail, commercial leisure and regeneration sectors. Particular specialisms of RPS are environmental assessment and historic buildings advice, where the Company can draw on the strengths of several hundred in-house specialist staff.

In the recent RTPI planning survey RPS was rated the largest planning consultancy in the following areas: Brownfield (housing); Commercial & Industrial; Retail and Town Centres; Householder; Leisure, Sport & Entertainment; Energy Planning and Waste Management Planning.

Taking architecture, urban design, civil & structural engineering and building services offices into account, RPS operates from offices located within 23 major towns and cities across the UK and Ireland.
