Recent projects

  • O’Neill Associates was lead consultant for a team which secured outline planning consent for a major University expansion onto a 116 ha adjacent site, following a six week public inquiry. We are now involved in obtaining detailed planning consents to facilitate the continuing development of the site, including infrastructure schemes and academic buildings.
  • We obtained planning and listed building consents for the conversion and extension of a landmark Grade II* listed building into a five star 107 bedroom hotel in a city centre and Conservation Area location.
  • Full planning permission obtained for 3 storey 7,500 sq m Rail Operations Centre which will control rail traffic on the East Coast Main Line from London to the Scottish Border, together with a 2 storey 6,500 sq m Workforce Training Centre for up to 200 engineering and maintenance staff.
  • Preparing an issues and options public consultation document for the new Hambleton Local Plan
  • Undertaking an Infrastructure Capacity Study for the Harrogate District Local Plan
  • Consent secured for conversion and extension of grade 2 listed buildings for hotel use in Stratford-on-Avon Conservation Area
  • Consent secured for 2 student housing scheme in York Central Conservation Area
