Practice Profile

Keppie Planning was established in 1991 and offers a comprehensive solution to planning and development issues over the entire spectrum of development activity throughout the UK, and is highly experienced in dealing with a wide range of planning issues from initial appraisals and assessments through to major appeal work and masterplanning exercises.

In our role as planners we are required to lead the consultant team to pull the disciplines together, ensuring that their work is focused, on the central planning objective. Within this framework we are often responsible for reporting to the client at regular strategy meetings to discuss tactics, advise on procedure, review progress and take instruction.

We pride ourselves on the number of loyal Clients we retain and the strong business relationships we have based on trust, mutual respect and collaboration.

Ethos

A key aim of town planning is the creation of environments where people can thrive. Successful town planning is therefore seen as the management of sustainable growth and the creation of places where people actually choose to live and work.

To achieve this aim, town planning must ensure the conscious control of new development within cities, towns, villages and landscapes over time. Town planning must also assess how people and communities could be affected by development and ensure that all considerations, e.g. social, economic, cultural and ecological are given due attention in the decision-making process.

The depth of understanding of the town planning process and planning law, along with our performance gives our Clients confidence in our ability to deliver results.
