Cassidy + Ashton’s planning team advises clients across the UK from the South Coast to Scotland and from Kent to Anglesey, with a strong project portfolio in London.
With an experienced and diverse team of planning specialists, Cassidy + Ashton offers the full range of professional services in the fields of town planning, masterplanning and environmental assessment. Where required, clients can also benefit from working with the practice’s in-house architects and building surveyors, providing a truly holistic service.
Cassidy + Ashton’s specialist team advises on all matters relating to town planning, masterplanning and environmental issues. In particular the practice has built up specialist skills in major residential developments, complex mixed-use development and environmental assessment along with the other services including planning applications and appeals, development plan advice, site appraisals and heritage assessment.
The practice has as diverse client portfolio that includes landowners, private developers, local authorities, some of the UK’s most distinguished housebuilders and market leaders across sectors including food and drink, and manufacturing.
The team is currently progressing over 5,000 residential dwellings across the UK.
Recent projects include progression of Whyndyke Garden Village, a 1,400 dwelling urban extension which is one of the Government’s Healthy New Towns. The practice is also leading the planning, design and masterplanning of Blackpool Airport Enterprise Zone, helping to provide 3,000 new jobs working alongside Blackpool and Fylde Councils and major port development.
The Cassidy + Ashton team is also working on a number of residential schemes within London including in Hackney, Camden, Southwark, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Lambeth and Kingston.
Advice on complex planning applications and appeals is a speciality of the practice. The team obtained planning permission for the UK's first combined solar and gas management generating facility, and is currently advising on a number of major mixed use developments around the country.
