Cameron Planning was established in 2011 by independent Planning Consultant Steven Cameron. We currently advise a range of private and public sector clients across the UK, specialising in Development Management, Development Planning, Marine Licensing and EIA procedures. Our Chartered Town Planning staff are experienced in working on major regeneration and infrastructure projects and recently provided Planning and EIA Consultancy advice to the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration scheme from 2014 - 2018 (Brent Cross Thameslink through Capita). More recently we have supported a number of renewables projects, including wind, solar PV and CHP developments.

We offer a full range of planning related services, including advice relating to EIA development proposals, statutory planning advice, planning applications, feasibility studies and site appraisals, policy assessments and marine licensing.

We are committed to providing clients with a first class service and aim to deliver positive outcomes on budget and on time. We will project manage your proposals from conception through to implementation, working with clients from pre-application through to construction.

We have provided consultancy services to the delivery of the Scottish Prison Service estate since 2007 including securing detailed planning permission and leading EIA work for projects; we work directly with the client as well as project Design Teams and support appointed contractors to secure detailed consents and deliver projects. We continue to advise major housebuilders on housing delivery and have provided Planning and EIA support to a major road link in Scotland and were lead Planning and EIA consultant on delivery of a new fish processing factory. We have secured marine licenses for new marina and harbour works projects in Edinburgh for developer clients and have been advising clients on a range of projects including new hotels, leisure development projects, new industrial development and new commercial developments. We also assist ambitious small businesses in their expansion plans, including leisure industries, hotels, distilleries and residential developments.

Other recent projects include supporting renewables projects through consenting, Planning and EIA support, including wind farm developments and bespoke renewables solutions to commercial clients. We have through 2022 been supporting GSK with regards to its estate requirements. We continue to provide Development Plan representations for volume housebuilders and smaller developers and have supported new industrial warehousing and commercial developments for a range of clients. Our principal area of expertise is in securing necessary consents and understanding the consents process, whether Planning, Marine Licensing or EIA focused. We have significant experience of trouble shooting projects for clients and unravelling complex proposals to ensure delivery. We are project driven and build on relationships to understand client requirements. As a business that is project focused, we work where the project demands, across the UK.
