The Practice

Established in 1984, the Practice has been part of the Aitchison Raffety property services group since 1997. It now forms the Planning Division of the Company. All consultants have extensive public and private sector experience.

Many of our clients and projects are located in the south-east, midlands and London reflecting our history and the strong links formed with Aitchison Raffety and the wide range of services the Group provides. As part of a multi-disciplinary group, we work with others on the different stages of the development process. We have a proven track record of providing sound and professional planning advice in relation to a wide range of projects and planning issues in the Midlands, London and surrounding Counties.

The Service

The Practice manages a comprehensive range of planning issues, including pre-consultation discussions leading to the preparation and submission of planning applications, planning appeals for both public and private sector clients by way of written submissions, informal hearings and public inquiries; LDF submissions and appearances, the preparation of environmental assessments; development briefs, site appraisals; strategic housing land availability assessments and research; S106 negotiations and legal agreements

Clients include major and local housebuilders; commercial and property developers; major oil companies; local authorities (including, The City and District of St Albans, Cherwell District Council, Daventry District Council, Wellingborough Borough Council and Stratford District Council); educational establishments; health trusts; and the LPA Receiver and Government department, as well as individual land and property owners.
