Jeremy Woolf has been in private practice since 1982. He has considerable experience as a Consultant to a wide range of mainly commercial clients including most of the main national housebuilding companies. Overall he has 34 years experience as a Chartered Town Planner including 6 years in Local Government and is an experienced professional inquiry witness.
Douglas Bond has been in private practice for the last 24 years. He was a Director of Chancellors, Chartered Town Planning Consultants up until October 2004. Since then he is one of the Principals of Woolf Bond Planning LLP. He acts for a wide range of clients, including National and Regional house builders (promoting PDL and Greenfield developments at the planning application, appeal and Development Plan stages), commercial clients (promoting industrial parks and individual commercial schemes, trade parks, petrol filling stations, motor car dealerships and other roadside uses), landowners and private individuals. He is an experienced negotiator of planning applications and an experienced professional witness at planning inquiries.
Steven Brown was employed by Chancellors from 2001 and is an Associate of Woolf Bond Planning. He has 10 years commercial planning experience and is a Chartered Town Planner. His experience and expertise includes providing general town planning advice to the house building industry (promoting PDL and Greenfield developments at the planning application, appeal and Development Plan stages). He is an experienced participant at EiP and LDF Examinations and is also a professional inquiry witness.
Murray Chrystal was employed by Chancellors from 1998. He has over 30 years experience as a Chartered Town Planner, including 16 years with various District and Borough Councils in Hampshire and Surrey, as well as positions with Chapman Warren and Bryan Jezeph Consultancy. His expertise and experience is primarily in development control and enforcement matters, including appearing at inquiries as a professional witness.
Thomas has two and a half years experience in both the residential and environmental planning sectors, including 2 years with Entec UK. His role includes providing planning advice to clients on householder developments, including promoting such schemes through the application and appeal processes. He also supports the Partners and Associates of the practice in advising the house building industry upon potential development opportunities, undertaking site appraisals, the preparation of supporting planning statements, submission of planning applications, preparation of appeal statements and proofs of evidence and submission of representations upon Development Plan documents.

Woolf Bond Planning were established in November 2004 and are continuing the work of Chancellors Chartered Town Planning Consultants. The latter company operated for over 30 years, and since 1982 has been under the direction of Jeremy Woolf, a partner in Woolf Bond Planning. Douglas Bond joined the Company in 1985.
The practice concentrates on residential, commercial, road related and recreation projects and has a well-established client base. This includes major house builders and other commercial firms together with organisations including the HBF and public bodies. In addition, both Jerry Woolf and Douglas Bond are part time lecturers at Reading University School of Real Estate and Planning.
The Practice regularly participates in formal inquiry sessions relating to development plan reviews. Most recently the practice has participated in the North West, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England and South East Regional Spatial Strategy EIPs on behalf of developer clients. The partners and associates regularly undertake public inquiry work.
We are involved in a range of development schemes across England. Projects vary from major town expansion proposals to medium and small-scale development projects. We offer specialist advice on housing land supply and need issues and are experienced in the implementation of schemes at the Master Plan stage. We are specialists in promoting difficult and controversial schemes at the application and appeal stages. We also undertake development appraisals and site identification studies.
