Following graduation from the University of Manchester in 1996 with a BA (Hons) Degree in Town and Country Planning and a Master of Town Planning; Simon started his career in Local Government. Simon has almost five years experience working in the Development Control function of both rural and urban planning authorities, latterly at a senior level. Simon is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and also has more than ten years of experience of planning in the private sector, previously as an Associate, prior to establishing SF Planning Limited in 2005. Simon has a wide range of experience from complex listed building projects to large scale development proposals. Outside of work, Simon is a keen squash player and currently plays in Gloucestershire Premier League.
Mark has over fourteen years of planning experience, and having graduated from the University of Southampton in 1998 with a BSc (Hons) Degree in Geography, he started his career with Cotswold District Council. Mark achieved an MA in Town and Country Planning from the University of the West of England in 2003, quickly followed by membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute. In 2004 he joined Cheltenham Borough Council where he was a Senior Planner for 4½ years before joining SF Planning Limited in May 2008. Mark has a wealth of planning experience, such as major town centre regeneration schemes and urban extensions, through to individual dwellings and householder schemes. When not at work, Mark is enjoying family life with his wife, and two children.
Becky has a wealth of experience in all areas of the industry, having worked at Cheltenham Borough Council for over six years before moving to the private sector. Becky has been working as a planning consultant for nine years, is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), and is an active Member of the Association of Women in Property (South West Branch).
Racheal has over 7 years of experience of both the pubic and private sectors. She joined Tewkesbury Borough Council in 2006 where she worked for 4 years dealing with householder schemes, individual dwellings, listed building consent and minor applications. Prior to this, Racheal worked for a private planning consultancy. Racheal has recently completed her final year at Cardiff University where she hopes to gain an MSc in Planning Practice and Research. Outside of work, Racheal enjoys music and is a keen pianist.

Based in Cheltenham, we work throughout the South West and Midlands regions; and further afield as and when required.

We will always strive to provide what we consider is our best guidance, even if that sometimes means we do not achieve an instruction as a result.
We work in all areas of planning, including the project management of applications and appeals (written representations, hearing and public inquiries), site appraisals and development potential, Development Plan representations seeking to influence planning policy, enforcement work and certificates of lawful development.

Cotswold District Council: Expert planning witness for the Council at a major public inquiry for 300 dwellings at Moreton in Marsh testing 5 year housing supply, and emerging Government policy.
