Porta Planning is an independent consultancy built around an established and experienced partnership that specialises in providing commercial planning advice and a highly personalised service. We provide planning-driven property advice across a range of clients and projects, but we have a particularly strong and successful track record in advising property owners on occupied properties and delivering complex development projects and planning-dependent transactions.

Our strength is our upstream advice on planning strategy, determining consent requirements and formulating tactics and implementation plans to optimise the likelihood of successful outcomes, and then leading the delivery of these outcomes. Our approach focuses on:

• Formulating and de-risking development schemes • Presenting a clear and detailed development rationale • Defining and addressing the material considerations to enable an authority to justify permission • Scrutinising policy and guidance, conditions and planning obligations to secure a viable and deliverable consent

Our service is tailored to our clients’ requirements, recognising that the planning process is a means to an end and not an end in itself.
