A Director of the Practice, Linda is a Chartered Planner and Architect with several years of experience and has a particular interest in design led planning challenges. Being qualified as a architect as well as a planner she is well placed to consider not only buildings and their context, but also the spaces around them. She is also Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor and a Welsh speaker.
Peter is an acredited conservation architect, (AABC,)and has considerable experience of working on old buildings as part of conservation-led regeneration schemes.

The practice has provided comprehensive design services that extend from inception to completion on site for more than 20 years. The practice is also acknowledged as one that pursues an environmentally sensitive and sustainable approach to projects. The Practice has two Conservation Architects.
Acanthus Holden is well known throughout West Wales for its commitment to design through the conservation and creative re-use of redundant buildings as well as the design and integration of new buildings in sensitive environments. The Practice has also designed a number of important sustainable buildings and provided Development Control services. Through offering both planning and architectural services, Acanthus Holden has the ability to consider not only the design and immediate setting of any building, but also its impact on the wider environment.
The Practice is the Welsh representative of Acanthus Associated Practices Limited: a national group of firms committed to excellence in Architecture and the Conservation of the Environment.
Linda Jones, director is a chartered planner and chartered architect, Peter Holden, director, is a conservation architect and project manager.

In February 1992, Acanthus Holden moved into new premises converted from redundant workshops on the Mill Pond in Pembroke.
Acanthus Holden were commended for the Coppet Hall scheme in Pembrokeshire in the 2015 Wales Planning Awards and were also involved in the early stages of the Barry Pumphouse scheme, Barry, which was also highly commended in the 2015 Wales Planning Awards
