Elected as MRTPI in 1976 and has worked continuously in the UK planning system in both the public and private sectors since 1975. Set up own consultancy in 1996
First worked in Local Government as a minerals and waste planning officer for 13 years (in four County Councils) dealing with major planning applications and preparing planning policy documents.
Has worked in general planning consultancy since 1988, setting up own practice as a 'sole practitioner' in 1996.
