A dynamic consultancy with an excellent reputation for offering professional advice on all aspects of the town planning system including planning applications, appeals and certificates of lawful use. Typical projects include;

Residential

Promotion of development sites throughout the south east of England through the Development Plan system, conversion of redundant listed commercial buildings, redevelopment of former commercial sites, mixed use commercial and residential schemes, major new build affordable housing projects and numerous rural and urban infill sites and redevelopment schemes. In addition we advise local planning authorities on the development of residential planning policy and strategy and at public inquiries as expert witnesses.

Commercial

Advice on the development of strategic commercial sites, development of new industrial estates, relocation of company headquarters, extension of offices and industrial units, development of new car showrooms and extension of hotels and conference and training centres.

Rural

The Practice has considerable expertise and experience submitting planning applications for rural diversification for a variety of different uses for clients throughout the south east of England. This includes strategic advice to major rural estates, the re-use of farm buildings for both commercial and residential uses, major equestrian developments, new agricultural buildings (including developments related to viticulture), replacement dwellings, agricultural workers dwellings, gypsy and traveller accommodation, renewable energy developments and various tourism and leisure-related developments.

Education

Major new sports, education and boarding house developments at an existing public school in the countryside. New academic buildings, residences and supporting infrastructure for the University of Sussex and support for long term strategic development of its campus.
