Site Appraisal and Scheme Preparation
Discovering the optimum for any site is a detailed process and can involve many individuals and organisations. Due to the importance of this aspect we aim to provide thorough and extensive appraisals and scheme preparation. We are able to advise on a range of issues such as land use, site layout, feasability and landscaping. This ensures that when an application is submitted all issues have been identified and addressed at an early stage thereby easing the progress of the application through the Local Planning Authority process. Our aim is to secure, at first instance, planning permission that not only meets the needs and requirements of our clients but does so in a professional manner. As a consultancy we have extensive experience in preparing, submitting and negotiating on a whole range of residential, commercial, industrial and rural proposals. Architectural, arboricultural, flooding, noise and highways advice can be offered in conjunction with the appropriate consultancies.
Appeals
At times, despite extensive preparation and negotiations with a Local Planning Authority, it is not possible to obtain a permission at first instance and it is necessary to appeal. We will advise on the best approach whether that be by written representations, hearing or public inquiry. In association with leading Counsel, who are instructed by us under the Direct Access Arrangements, we can prepare your appeal submissions and appear as expert witnesses on your behalf. If either of the other two methods of appeal are appropriate, as opposed to a public inquiry, then we will prepare a full written submission and appear in person should a hearing be the preferred option.
Public Sector and Third Party Representations
We are often called upon to act on behalf of a local planning authority in the determination of planning applications or in the preparation and presentation of appeals. We have acted for a number of different London Borough Councils as well as Borough/District Councils in the south east.
We offer a comprehensive service in support of local residents providing guidance, plan interpretation, assessment of planning applications and representations in writing or in person at Committees and/or appeals.
