The Company

England & Lyle was formed by John England and Ian Lyle in 1995. Both partners have extensive planning experience in private practice and previously in local government. Jeremy Good became a partner in 2006. We became a limited company in 2008. The company offers a full range of cost-effective town planning and development services to private and public sector clients throughout the UK. We also offer assistance in specialist areas, in particular: retail planning and impact assessment, listed buildings and conservation areas, and urban design. We have experience of leading and working as part of multi-discipline teams on large scale developments including environmental impact assessments. Our clients include house-builders; developers; retailers; private industry; local authorities; other public bodies; and other private clients, small businesses, landowners, etc.
