The Planning and Development Division offers a comprehensive multi disciplinary package of services to undertake the assessment, planning, co ordination, design, and implementation of development projects which simplifies the Client's task of co-ordination, but ensures the Client's full control of the project. Specialisms include housing, retailing, industrial, offices, infrastructure, minerals and waste. The Division undertake various instructions including Environmental Statements, Retail Impact Assessments, Planning Appraisals, Urban Design Studies, Masterplanning, Expert Witness, Development Plan Representations as well as Landscape services including project remediation and mitigation measures.
Recent projects throughout the UK include the following:
• Preparation of planning application and assessments for 4 star hotel in Newcastle City Centre; • Project management and preparation of planning application and assessments for major mixed use development at Smiths Dock, North Tyneside on behalf of Places for People; • Preparation of a planning application and Environmental Statement on behalf of Stòras Uibhist for rock extraction, new causeways and breakwaters, a 1.25km road, a fisheries pier with associated commercial fishing infrastructure and a small boat and yacht harbour with slipway and amenities; • Preparation of planning application, Design and Access Statement coordination and feasibility design for student accommodation developments on behalf of Alumno Developments in Glasgow and St Andrews; • Preparation of planning application, Listed Building Consent and Conservation Area Consent for development within the grounds of Acklam Hall, Middlesbrough; and • Provision of Expert Witness to North Yorkshire County Council relating to the refusal of a planning application for a gas extraction well, underground pipelines, gas processing facility, associated access and construction of an underground pipeline from the processing facility to the National Transmission System.
