Company history

Woolf Bond Planning were established in November 2004 and are continuing the work of Chancellors Chartered Town Planning Consultants. The latter company operated for over 30 years, and since 1982 has been under the direction of Jeremy Woolf, a partner in Woolf Bond Planning. Douglas Bond joined the Company in 1985.

Main Planning Services

The practice concentrates on residential, commercial, road related and recreation projects and has a well-established client base. This includes major house builders and other commercial firms together with organisations including the HBF and public bodies. In addition, both Jerry Woolf and Douglas Bond are part time lecturers at Reading University School of Real Estate and Planning.

Examples of Recent Projects

The Practice regularly participates in formal inquiry sessions relating to development plan reviews. Most recently the practice has participated in the North West, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England and South East Regional Spatial Strategy EIPs on behalf of developer clients. The partners and associates regularly undertake public inquiry work.

We are involved in a range of development schemes across England. Projects vary from major town expansion proposals to medium and small-scale development projects. We offer specialist advice on housing land supply and need issues and are experienced in the implementation of schemes at the Master Plan stage. We are specialists in promoting difficult and controversial schemes at the application and appeal stages. We also undertake development appraisals and site identification studies.
