Feria Urbanism is an enlightened planning and design studio that specialises in urban design, urban planning, neighbourhood strategies, public participation and the night-time economy.

Through a network of like-minded partners in architecture, landscape design, transport planning, lighting design and 3-D visualisation we can offer clients quality service and exceptional value. Through our collaboration with Conran & Partners architects, we have been shortlisted in several international architectural competitions.

ENGAGEMENT, PARTICIPATION & LOCALISM

Places do not stay the same – they are either growing or declining. We have run successful community engagement events that examine this change, organising and leading participatory workshops, exhibitions and consultation exercises. Our work with local communities in Kent is featured in the RIBA "Neighbourhood Planning" best practice guide.

THE AFTER DARK CITY

We recognise the importance of the city after dark. We understand the complex interplay of land use planning, licensing, pedestrian movement, lighting and built form that creates a successful after dark city. We have delivered several significant projects in this field and the ATCM consider them to be exemplar case studies.

URBANISM SKILLS TRAINING

We want everybody to appreciate the benefits of good design. We have developed course content and delivered training events and study tours to town planners, urban designers, architects, students, councillors and highway engineers.

HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR ... MORE TO FOLLOW

Our study for the London Borough of Bexley recommended radical changes to traffic-dominated junctions and was instrumental in securing a £4.2m implementation fund from Transport for London. We have created a new town centre vision for Weymouth, venue for the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games. The ideas and actions will make the town feel safer and more welcoming to visitors and residents in the evening and at night.
